Heather Desaulniers
Heather began formal dance training at a very young age and has been
dancing and performing ever since.  Her early training was primarily in
classical ballet, tap and jazz, but at age fourteen, clogging entered the
picture.  One of her tap teachers brought clogging into the curriculum of
the dance studio and had the tap dancers take the class to improve their
rhythmical accuracy.  It may have begun as an exercise, but once all the
tappers started clogging, they were hooked on it !

Since moving to the Bay Area, Heather has continued to study clogging
with Evie Ladin and Matt Ellinger.  She is a company member of The
Barburners  and Roots Revue.  Heather has choreographed clog dances
for The Barbary Coast Cloggers and was co-artistic director/choreographer
of their spin-off group, The Golden Gate Clogging Company.  Recent
performances include: The Berkeley Old-Time Music Festival, San
Francisco Folk Festival, The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, World Arts
West's People Like Me and the Yerba Buena ChoreoFest.
